The best sessions come with a sweet subject, a kind family, a relaxed spirit, and dinner. What?? :)  What a blessing it was to spend the evening with the lovely Keevil family, welcoming little Natalie to the fun!!

I've bragged before about my lovely assistant Michelle, and I could go on and on about how lost I am when she's not with me for a session. Instead, this time, I'll let her beautiful family be her testimony to the world... of how she cares for them and loves them to pieces. :)  Three gorgeous daughters and a precious marriage... she'll tell you herself, she is one very blessed girl, and Larae Photography is crazy blessed to have her on the team!!

Jenny and Martin came for a visit home from North Carolina, and we stuck it out in the misty drizzle and sprinkles of rain to create some really special portraits to celebrate their engagement!!   We wish them ALL the very best in their upcoming marriage!

How can one go wrong with a beautiful little family in a gorgeous location?? Though this particular evening at the gorgeous location was a bit warmer than we'd all preferred, little Bella wasn't bothered by it one bit! And let's face it, she's the star of THIS show! :) 

We wish the very best and all God's blessings for this family, and we know that they are part of a super special extended family and will do excellent things as life moves forward!

Oh Charley... such a little beauty. A smart, funny little beauty! Can you even get over her sweet blonde hair and fair skin?  Perfection! It was my pleasure to get to spend a little time with the "Fitz" family recently.  Photogenic doesn't even begin to describe this gorgeous family. They are proof that last minute family sessions CAN work and often are the best because they're not overthought or worried over.  Meaghan did a super job of styling perfectly for our fall mini set, without even knowing! Love when those things fall into place. :)  Thanks for letting me capture these for you guys!

I'm so very thankful for this family. They are more than "just clients" and are definitely in the "dear friends" category.  Amy was a major part of my being welcomed as a parent at a new school over 4 years ago. Her kids are the same grades as my kids and have been friends every since.  We've served together in more volunteer positions than either of us should have signed up for, and we've enjoyed most every minute. ;)  It's been wonderful to see her kids grow up, to be part of the same church family, and to watch their family grow in Christ together.  They are one of the many reasons I'm thankful that God brought us to the school, which is truly like a big supportive family.  And though I marveled at how grown up her younger kids look (which means mine are growing up too!!), I'm pretty impressed with the little humans they're becoming.

Planning what your family will wear for your photo session is a big deal!  We have tips that we share for styling and even links to ideas for color combinations and such.  Kelli and her family did a lovely job, and the best part is that the whole family was committed to her vision!  It was far too close to 90 degrees for my taste when it came time to shoot, and yet these awesome kiddos, and one very patient husband, were glad to don their long sleeves and sweaters to give Mom the look she wanted.  Big props to the whole gang!  :) 

And even in the heat, we had FUN!

Quick family sessions with a focus on the growing little one are some of my favorites! The parents can relax for a bit, the kiddos get to have fun, and it's over before you know it. :)
